At Action Stations our number one priority is the well being of your students and staff. We provide safe, fun education camps which challenge learning about New Zealand’s natural, cultural and social worlds that is age appropriate.

Key Competencies and Curriculum Links:

Camps are an ideal opportunity to develop and apply the key competencies of managing self, relating to others, participating and contributing and thinking. Our education camps are linked closely to the curriculum and relevant resources included in your camp pack. All activities are pitched to meet the age and skill of the students, from primary to college.

Health and Safety:

The safety of students, adults, our team members and the general public is of paramount importance to Action Stations. We regard t OutdoorsMark Safety Audit Certified SMS Document his responsibility to be a partnership between Action Stations team, your school, and the classroom teacher. Action Stations’ Safety Management Plan has been developed to meet the requirements of  legalisation such as: Health and Safety in       Employment (Adventure Activities Regulations 2016), and  The Vulnerable Children’s Act, Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, and the Ministry of Education EOTC Guidelines: 2016. Action Stations is exempt from registering with WorksSafe NewZealandbased on the Adventure Activities Regulations 2016, however Action Stations undertake external Document Review health and safety audits through OutdoorsMark and hold OutdoorsMark Certification. Contracted activity providers: When an activity meets the definition of an adventure activity, Action Stations contract outside providers, who are a registered activity provider with WorkSafe NZ .
There are some activities that are not defined by the regulations as “adventure activities” and there fore,  the contracted provider is not required to be registered with WorkSafe NZ.  However they are vetted by Action Stations through our Contractor Procedure.   As part of our comprehensive logistical and camp pack provided to your school, we provide Activity Management Plans (AMP’s)forms or activities we lead and procedures for emergencies as well as detailed safety information for contracted activities.  
 

Accommodation:

Action Stations works out of many different camp venues. We can find the camp that best suits your needs and desire for a beach, bush, city, or marae experience. Camps range from a cosy bush lodge or a holiday park near the beach to a spacious country or beach lodges for larger numbers. Or how about a really kiwi experience of tenting at beach side camps? With accommodation choices from Waihi – Te Puke we have one to create your desired experience. Food Provision:

Create more time and fun for yourself and parent helpers by having Action Stations provide healthy and nutritious food. Our cook is present to oversee dinner. Schools bring their own morning, afternoon tea and supper.

Transport:

If you need a bus to transport your students this can be arranged.

Cost:

Each education camp programme is different, so prices vary. Programmes are customised to meet your interests, needs and budget.

Classroom Activities:

Our trained teachers understand the effort that is involved in researching and developing relevant classroom resources, so to assist Action Stations provide these for many of the modules. This material can be used to build excitement and anticipation prior to the event and then follow-up to reinforce their learning after the camp. It naturally will fit in with your curriculum and reduces your planning demands. Field resources are provided by Action Stations.

Wet weather:

At Action Stations we respect Mother Nature and we discuss changing weather conditions with your staff. We have some wet weather options available so that your students still have a great time come rain, hail or shine!
